SOOO anyway during our break i thought it would be a good idea to go thru this detox juice thing...ya know to cleanse the system. You only drink juice and mine was made of tangerines, bananas, carrots, and celery. And it isnt the best thing ever. So ive been at it for a day and a half now. AND I FEEL SICK!! i have like this cold and my throat hurts when i swallow and drink. i mean. seriously? does this look good?

HAHA! okay so thats not what it really looked. Mine was more like an orange brown.

WEll anyways i feel like crap. Just not good.

So im gonna get off it. BUt i have to get off it slowly or something.

sSo i went to watch Percy Jackson and the Lightning Theif. I actually did like it... haha really surprising to see Pierce Brosnan and Uma Thurman in it. But i did enjoy it. Even if im not totally into greek mythology. But it was light entertainment. Except hahah the Uma Thurman part kinda like freaked me out a little bit. WEll i wanted to go to Alice in Wonderland but Keith told me that he didn't like it and it was all sold out. 3D and umm..un3D?? hahah just kidding 2D. So we we're tricked into percy jackson while my dad watched Inviticus. He said it was really really good. The Alice in Wonderland display in Mid Valley is SOOO CUTE! i love it. it was awesome. Then we went and ate at the yogi tree. Hahaha my opinion go to delicious. yogi tree was a little TOO healthy for me. hahaha. well if i do anything else interesting i will let you know. XD and now i shall be a dedicated simmer and go watch the Sims International Film Festival. HA HA bet you didn't know there were such things. ;)

So hahah actually march madness is like crazy college basketball season in the states.

But here...its actually just craziness. I mean we have school camp coming up, ontop of that we're starting up CF again. So i mean im not fully stressed yet. but ask me again later and i might have a different thought. My 1001 LA is driving me CRAZY. GRRR. can't wait to get it done with. But last week is my last week of school before term break. so im full of happiness. But i mean its kinda weird because i feel we just got off of holiday from Chinese new year. But i wont complain. AND THE NEXT SENTENCE IS THE MOST IMPORTANT SENTENCE OF ALL. don't you agree that asam and ayam are super similar. im not even putting a question mark there because im not really asking. hahaha im making a statement. and yeah i know they are similar so it would be okay for someone to mix it around. right?

HII!! so today we went to like Tony Roma's at Sunway. it was super YUMMO. So like haha its happy Chinese New Year. So its my first one here in Malaysia. and its pretty fun. Im having a really good time so far. Hehe getting a lot of angpau's. if thats even how you spell it. So like i have been REALLY bad at pictures. which i feel really bad about it. So there are like kinda lot of pictures in this one so hopefully you like that. O! and i want to say that my map looks pretty cool because i have so many of you guys around the world. like finland and romania. haha you guys rock. :D O! and i have a read from mexico so hola! (haha i take spanish class) So lots of pictures to show you my kinda last week and today.

So these were the deco for midvalley for chinese new year. Which was pretty nice. Better than 1Utama which have like these huge giant cats. haha FREAKY.

So above is the mess i made while trying to make the below. So below is a custom made envelope that i was totally inspired by this craft book i bought with my angpau money. And it was really cheap which is strange because it was for 3o dollars when it should be like 70 dollars. haha well i didn't ask questions. ;) So it looks kinda nice on the front. but i feel like its messy in the back. and thats why there is no picture of the back. :D ( i know im so smart that way =D)

So below is my favorite four angpau packets that i recieved. The gold one is actually made of foil so its like REALLY nice. and then i love the tigger one becuase i love winnie the pooh and i thought it was really creative form to have it because its year of the tiger. So yeah thats like my top two. :D ( o and hhahah angpau packets are packets of money that married people give to like unmarried people and children)

And then these are like a sample of all of them.

HAHA. XD this is me and my sister trying to be really lala but like as you can see she does it way better than me. hahah and we all know why. because she is the BIMBO.
So when we were going to have reunion breakfast?? hahaha instead of the dinner with my mom's family we passed the twin towers which were so LOVELY with the sun and everything. even if it means the weather absolutly SUCKS.

So that was pretty much the exciting activity of my little life. haha and my school only gave us two days off where everyone else gets like a week off. but o well. :D soo um yeah . hope this post makes up for all of it?? >

so its been really busy with ISCF.

and haha i passed math 909. happyness filled my heart at that time.

so anyway while i was studying for my math and reading my magazine (yes you can do both) miss sarah calls me laughing hysterically. hahah. i LOVE HER.

and beebee has been some emotional high? hahah i dunno.

but today was fun.

and hazel is like super focused on work. and is thinking of graduating like THIS YEAR.

then she'll leave me and sarah and we all won't graduate the same time. *sob*

anyway i decided i hate the biggest looser asia woman coach. she is so patronizing!

If i was 300 pounds i still wouldn't let her talk to me in that way.

so finally back from singapura.

thats like Singapore in malay.

it was pretty cool.

the christmas lights were pretty awesome.

and the food was yummy.

i think all asian countries have yummy food.

and it was really clean.

and then of course there was no gum.

no joke.

there is no gum.

and we rode on lots of subways under the ground.

Singapore was really small. i didn't realize how small.

its only like 30-40 minutes east to west. and less north to south.

so i went on the Singapore Flyer, and i went on their hippo and duck tours. yeah.

i of course have lots of pictures which i will post l8ter.

just wanted to say i had tons of fun at movie night. especially preparing food with the lovely sarah ti and beebee. haha it was fun shopping for a dress with sarah ti. :D so we had lots of fun baking over hundreds of stuff it ws CRAAAZZY!!! and the movie night was so much fun and im just glad that it went well! because i know myself and the comittee worked super hard to make this a fun night for everyone!! today i slept in till 12. its probably because i slept at like late at sarahs house then SOMEONE whose name starts with a BEE and ends with an ANG was like disturbing me early in the morning. and then i had to work and it was stressful! but super fun! <3ed>

Hello!!
so sorry that i haven't posted in a really long time.
Been so busy and now i like just finished my last youth service.
Which was amazing and fun and i just had a blast doing it and now i cant wait for our movie under the stars night!!! Its going to be so much fun. Or as people say to watch a movie in a building with a roof under the stars. Because we're techinically not outside.
So ive been really busy.
and let me tell you that life is hekca hard.
Ahhh!! its been craazzzy the last month.
And then mr.nick asked us to write good things about people.
So i had fun and wrote intresting things on some.
And then when i read mine...i wondered... who am i?
Like haha it just must be those teenage hormones kicking in.
but then i wondered like what defines me.
And what i wanted to be define as....
There was this one guy i knew and he was like i don't know who i am.
And i remember thinking that was the stupidest thing ever because he was amazing, athletic, smart and all these things and how could he not know!!
but now i know its not stupid. its perfectly resonable. *sigh* food for thought.

heheh so i am really excited today.
well here is why,
so i was getting all comfortable in my bed and i picked up my bible to do my regular reading.. and all the sudden i was like i should read 2 Corinthians, i don't really know why... but i think someone was talking about it at school and i just decided i would read it..which is werid because im not that normally spontaneous in my bible reading. SO i pick it up and i start to read and i read this:
"2 Corinthians 1:8-9"
We even gave up hope of living, Truly, in our hearts we believed we would die. But this happened so we would not trust ourselves but in God who raises people from the dead.
O MY WORD. how i needed that. This week has been really rough on me. I think its been pretty tough... and its not like i felt like i was going to die but i felt really worn out and just not adequate to to what i was doing. I started to feel hopeless at myself and feel like like well a piece of crap.Its that sense of helplessness that kills me because as you all know i love to be in control of what happens to me and around me.But then i read this... that sometimes these things happen not so that we would not trust ourselves but in our GOD!! and then it even emphasises it when Paul continues to write... our God who even raises people from the dead! HOW AWESOME IS HE!! and so i think God was telling me to trust him, that everything was going to be okay, and that i needed to stop relying on myself and start relying on him and laying my burdens at his feet. I feel so light and free. :D and i just thought you guys should all know that. :D

and it was raining.
and i played in the rain.
and then my mom was like WHY?!?!
you just got better and then you go and play in the rain..

But how often to you get to play in rain that is probably very acidic because of our smog. hehe.

Ah so i haven't blogged in like forever.
so pretty much.
my week...was especially stressful this week..
werid right?
because this was supposedly by week off.
haha maybe its because i had too much free time so i had some free time to stress it all up. hahah if that even is in correct gramatical form.
And seriously had a GREAT time at NEXT DEGREE! everything was flawless and i think our youth group has bonded. I LOVE IT! it is amazing and i love that i have been seeing people all around me step up and doing amazing things for God. WHICH IS WHAT I LOOOOVEE TO SEE!
Then we played the boys in volleyball..
we lost.. :(
so sad. very sad. at least isaac was not there to mock me. :P
and then joshua goes and like yells something about looking left while i serve and then i serve left and i got distracted and ah!!! im going to get you back joshua.
Hahaha and then they would do their retarded stupid whale dance... and chang pet the whale... o_O
and then when they screwd up they would be like kick the whale.. again.. o_O?
werid rightt...so that was my friday.
saturday i went for some yummy dim sum. my favorite thing to eat for dim sum is sui mae. that is like yummy.
and then i went and got ingredients for my hummus. YUM!

i had a good day...and i feel actually not stressed as i sit here and write.I mea what could be more relaxing then writing or actually talking as long as you want...even though no one maybe be listening or even cares for that matter at least i get to have it out in the open right?!

so today i had lunch with sarah, BB, and paullyn.
hahah me and sarah had intresting talks...
i think i always have intresting talks with sarah... :D
and then BB like keeps stealing my eraser and then throwing it at my head...
and then she asks me out for badminton and i say yes to find out that it is cancelled. :(
but its okay i still forgive her. hhaha :D
and then i had a talk with weeyen, isaac, keiffer, and aaron when i told them that if i have to pay 70 RM a month for sports then thats just a rip off. And then i said that i didn't want to play with little 8 year old boys...o wait i think i got corrected...they are 10!! wow what a difference... and weeyen actually agrees with me on that. and aaron is just like well give it a chance.... hahah no i don't think so aaren or thank you... hahai just realized i spelled his name wrong the previous like two times. SO yesh... and then i mocked isaac, and weeyen, and neilson for loosing to us girls again in volleyball..poor BOYS... can't take defeat like real MEN.. LOL
silly boys. ;)
and then i had a wonderful Post Motem meeting... lovely. :D
and i came home, finished up some work and then i came home...here. to the computer..and i sat down and wrote to you. :D how special you must feel.
so anyway title up there? i mean this is out TIME TO MOVE! malaysian youth... its out time to start stepping up to the NEXT DEGREE...haha (wow that just came up) and shining brighter for jesus right?1 <3 <3 <3 <3

AND WE BEAT THE BOYS IN VOLLEYBALL!! hahaha...
like they kept insisting that there was like a foul and we were like wahtever...
and so we beat them like "twice" hahah thanks to jon wong. :D
So haha isaac has lost to us twice in a row...and they werent playing as easy as last time.
And we didn't even have like our bestest players. so yay girls. :D

in volleyball practice... my so amazing coach (haha if you think aaren is amazing)
well he keeps telling us keep moving keep moving side to side...
so haha i think while we're like hopping side to side...we should sing that song. because haha ya.

so we like totally BEAT THE BOYS TODAY IN VOLLEYBALL!
and like most of the team was like 15 and like all the guys were like 18... haha

Hahaha so that song part excerpt is SO what ive been feeling lately.
I have been so busy that sometimes i don't even know how to move.
and i should thank aaren for that because he is like do tchouckball or however you spell that.
and that is a really complicated none contact sport..pahaha none contact... so funny,
and then BEEBEE is like crazy and just confusing me more...but the swings are fun with BB so if you ever can swing with her do so. :D
So i hung out with ryan today..my little buddy brother. and andrew sAnjay.
they are two pretty awesome people.
And then i talked to chanelle. well i talked and chanelle just did her work because she is a good student unlike me. :p
and thennnn BEEBEE learned about the sun and the moon today. :D
i think she told me that it is IMPOSSIBLE to take them down from the sky. so ya weeyen...

Which means Inter School Christian Fellowship!

so i like totally got sent home from school today because i was snifling.
and so they were like you might not even be sick but its across the border.

So ya they are just so cool.
And i had volleyball practice so they call it.
But you know it was pretty easy compared to what rossly coaches make you run and suffer and torture you with.

so really sorry i haven't posted a blog in like a really long time.
so i feel really bad.
so pretty much ive been going to school.
and i think that this school is so way easier then rosslyn.
but it is really tedious work ya know?
and they don't have a girls soccer team.
which sucks. and when i mean it sucks i mean like SERIOUSLY sucks.
hmm..maybe ill make one.
So school is alright. some nice people there.
and it is pretty relaxed. so i like it in the sense that i can go as fast or as slow as i want too.
so that means no teachers asking me why i haven't turned that assignment in or that we have a pop quiz or whatever. so yay.
and i have been totally addicted to this game called cube field.
it is just addicting.
o. and i got the new Sims 3. if you really like interior decorating and architecture. BUY the game. it is awesome. and the furniture and everything is amazing. But the game play is boring. So i don't really play it. I just design. So after you design it you can like put it on the web and see how many people download it. And you can download other peoples houses for free too.
So ya that is pretty much it. Even though school is like more relaxed i still can't wait for Friday!

This is what most coffe shops look like. You should never let the look of it discourage you from eating there. That is where all the amazing yummy food is.

what an exciting 2 weeks can i say?
So um like this is pretty much all that has been going down.
WEll like first i had to take this very STUPID entrance exam..
I seriously HATED it. Hated it so much that in fact i almost killed myself with like overeating because i was so stressed.

So i got back from Kuantan like last week and it was a pretty awesome trip. I got so burned and i think i got a bit darker. I hope i don't peel oall over becuase i would really hate that and it would be all ew ew ew ew.

I also today did this incredibly stupid entrance exam. It was long and difficult and it was like so AHH! And plus im pretty much going to have to repeat a year. Not because im dumb.... but because its better to have your four years of HS in one place. So that really did tick me off but ill move past it i suppose. So yes that is all i;ve been doing. O and on monday ill be going with my sister and Kelly to go shopping for dresses for the youth event of the tenth hour. It's kinda like a prom. SO thats it. C ya.

So at the griaffe farm the giraffes will come to you and you feed them these pellets that are made up of wheat or something

This is the elephant oprhanage. These poor baby elephants get left behind by their moms or their moms die by poachers for the ivory and so they get put here.

This is one of the caretakers that take care of the elephants. There is also an rhino there.

So we landed on Monday.
And my allergies are quite bad because of all this Haze here in KL.
Anywho im on my aunt's computer because mine is being really confused and doesn't know how to connect.
But ya i feel bad because i know that you all deserve pictures and i promise to put them up sometime within the week. or maybe when i come back from this camporama.
Being here is sometimes really hard.
Sometimes just meeting different people or seeing different places just make me want to cry.
This transitioning thing is harder then it looks.
Its easy to talk the talk but its not so easy to walk the walk
Our flight was really smooth and nice although the breakfast food was really yucky.
and it was a full flight from doha to KL.
im starting to have cabin fever and always wanting to go somewhere.
it was so overwhelming going to IKEA for our house.
We want to move in on friday so we need to shop for the basics of a bed and a closet.
it was such a culture shock to know that we had to buy our own closets!
in africa all the houses come with closets already there!
We also had to buy shelves and stoves and cabinets.
All of this was so new to me! In Africa all this stuff came with the house.
When we went IKEA all the beds and pillows and sheets all of that was so confusing to me!
Well i ask you guys to pray for me because i think its going to be a very difficult year for me. :(
but i look forward to the next year with lots of optimism.
and if i doesn't work out im moving to norway with eirin. :P

RAIN! It's here! After months and months of rising temperatures we finally get rain. Me and my friends were standing out by the field waiting for the Rugby game to start when this cloud made and appearance. And it started to pour. I'm sure our Rugby team had a fun time playing in the rain.

The Most EXCTING Labor Day

So like seriously it was the most exciting labor day.

So first because i was off, we went to maasai markert at this mall.

And this was where all the excitment was.

THE ROMAIANIN RUGBY TEAM WAS AT MAASAI MARKET!

haha so something was very wrong with me and i went and asked for their autographs.

haha I DID!

it was really stupid and my mom and sister were like laughing at me.

Well my mom set me up to it realy!

So thats the autograph down there. The first guy asked for my name and then signed his. The autograph to the top right was this other guy. The picture above is the only good picture i could find of their team.

And then i bought this pair of coke earings. ya i know right coke earings. ill get a picture of that later. but its kinda cool. So because i did that they gave me a freek 200 ml coke. it must be a new can that they are producing.

These are my parents at this mall called WestGate. Its the closest thing we have to mall down here. So i was going to take one of me and my sister but this security guard came and said it was illegal to take pictures. Can you imagine that? haha.. only in africa.

YAY! its a Saturday.
I LOVE Saturdays.
A break from all the chaos and drama that High School offers to me every week.
But we all need a break from it.
And Saturdays are the perfect escape.
Today my parents were out all day so i cooked dinner.
I cooked baked chicken.
It was pretty good. No pictures because it was all gobbled up!

Today we started by walking a 3 K trail. This is my dad by the pond.

Living here in Africa, the pictures take a long time to load. But it hasn't taken that long so ya.. o well just never mind.

Ive been really busy!
Yesterday I went to this get together for one of my friends, Angela, who is leaving to Togo. :(
So i got back around 9:45 and was tired.
then today we went to our school's spring fling which is pretty much when all rosslyn familes get together and sell our junk, our even swap our junk. Because as you know one man's junk is another man's treasure.
And so busy busy busy.

I signed up for it but have like NOO idea what it is!

SO i had grapes in my lunch today.
I decided they are very yucky with the skin on.
so i sat there...well actually stood and peeled the skin off.
its actually quite relaxing.
So today in Spanish we were playing indoor and my teacher refused to let me play!
and i was like what the hay!
and he was like i do not want to be responsible for another injury of yours..
i was bummed.
so when i got home and told my mom
she was like if you had i would have smacked you upside down.
Its probably because my cast was really expensive. Like 50,000 Kenyan shillings which is like 70 shillings to an American dollar and 20 shillings to a Malaysian dollar.
so i guess its all good.

Haha.. So does this buffalo make you smile? I do.. Because its so old...and it walks so slow.. hehe its cute! So today was not a yuckish day. But i have decided that physics is very very hard. I don't even know how and when i will use it. But i know that i will not use it! So today was ok. Filled with lots of interesting and deep conversations. I love deep conversations. One more thing on my list. O do you remember that guy macheda? He was just offered a 5 year contract. Because he is AWESUM!!

The Buffalo. He was like going to charge us but our smart driver Tita, smartly drove away.

because it was yuck...and it sucked..

So we just got back from my parents friends house. The Wests. They are Max's original family, they have his sister, brother (who hates max), dad, and Mom. We played this card game called Canasta. Well i think it was said like that, but they are british so maybe their accent threw me off. But it was fun. We had a lot of good food. Their mom is a professional chef and has cooked for many dukes and kings and other means of royalty in England. So as you can imagine i love it when we go to her house because she is an amazing chef. So 2moro is school. Ew. I have this HUUUGGEE freshman sem. which consists of an Oral Report. ANd to top it off just 7 weeks of school...well actually 5 weeks because of one week of revision and then exams. And i have some friends coming in about then. When they come i'll post more pictures.
O and one of the guys, Tim..has this site which is SpotsKenya.com its for his like thesis or something so go and cheeck it out. Its kinda more for people who live in Kenya.

So Friends = Love. One more thing on my list of loves. SO i thought you might want to find out about who i spend my 7 hours of hard labor with. Well actually it will be 7 hours and 5 minutes because our school is so ridiculous and added an extra 5 minutes to our class. I was also really excited when i found out that i have had 4 views from yesterday! and no, they are not all from my mom. haha just kidding...not that that's bad to have your mom read your blog. She's had like over 4000 views. And i feel pretty small with only having one.
So anyways here are some pictures.

This is M.C. I don't remember what it stands for tho. But he is so awesome! He's in my physics class. He's already taken the hard classes like chemistry and all that..but he forget to take my freshman class of physics. He's smart, and that is why i like having him in my lab group. LOL

These are my two friends, Hwani & Ji-Yeon. They are both from Korea. When we got back from our CFS trip we had this room that is supposed to situate 5 people but we got it just for the three of us. And our chaperons said that ours was by far the neatest of the rooms. (Hwani is the one next to me and Ji- Yeon is the one next to Hwani.

This is me and my friend Sapna on our second day in Kawethi. We were goofing up during out little walk around this little town. And might i say it was quite a fairly long walk.

I just finished watching the Manchester United Game aganist Sunderland. Quite a fustrating game. Fustrating like the last couple of games. But we've won the last two, thanks to this man right down there.

Hi. My name is Kathryn. I am a MK. MK stands for missionary kid. My mom and my sister are bloggers. So i thought why not try this whole shanigian of blogging? A quick description, i am of average height, i like to read, i like to craft, and i love love to play soccer and volleyball, i also have that disorder of starting a billion and one things but never finishing them. I recently fractured my knee and tore my collateral ligament. It hurt really bad. It happened early in my soccer season which required me to miss the entire season of that and my volleyball season. But no worries, ill be back for the next. So that's me.

This is my super cute dog Max. I named him. He is so sweet! He is supposed to be our guard god. But he's only 1 foot of the ground and he sleeps through everything.

This is my mom. And that cute little baby belongs to one our mission director. She's very cute. And now she is very fat. She has like lines for her elbow and her wrist. Her name means Pendo. Which means love in Kiswahilli.

This is my dad. This was taken in our van out in the Mara. Ive lived here in Kenya all my life and i have never been to the Mara. People fly all over the world to come here. But then again animals aren't really my thing. So we did. We saw lots of animals. Maybe ill post some pictures of them. hmmm..
